Pantaleon – portfolio website

Pantaleon

Client: José Pantaleón

Completed: 2016

José Pantaleón is a Spanish portrait painter from Oviedo, trained in Fine Arts at the University of Seville. Painting continuously since the 1970s, his portraits, paintings, and murals are held in private collections and museums across Spain and beyond. He needed a simple, focused portfolio site that would let visitors appreciate the depth and texture of his work.

Design — Minimalist layout that gets completely out of the way and lets the portraits take centre stage. The site showcases a selection of work spanning twenty years, presented cleanly without any visual clutter competing with the paintings.

Development — Built entirely with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – no CMS needed for a focused portfolio of this kind. The standout feature is a magnifying glass tool in the gallery, letting visitors zoom in and explore the rich brushwork and textures of each painting up close. A small detail that makes a big difference when the work itself is the whole point.

Results — A focused online presence that does exactly what a portrait artist needs – presents the work beautifully and lets potential collectors and galleries appreciate the quality and craftsmanship without any distractions.
